Delray

I want to thank you for looking into Delray. I am Lavonne Powell; God called my family and me here in March of 2015. At the time we were a family of 4 but things have since changed, our sons have grown up and met Godly women to have as wives. We have been blessed with two beautiful granddaughters who we now get to watch grow up in the house of the Lord.

My vision as a pastor has always been to be used of the Lord to lead a church that stands out from the typical Independent Baptist Church. A church that is solid and unwavering on teaching and doctrine but presents it in a way that is applicable  to people in a compassionate and real way. We like to call it the “Delray Difference” and would love for you to come experience and be a part of it.

Having pastored two previous churches and learning from the school of hard knocks, God has shown me and helped me to understand that the world is looking for real people serving a real Savior in a real way. Too often the body of Christ has let it’s guard down and let confusion come in, has let the church down with not serving and ministering as it should, and most importantly let our Savior down with our faithfulness.

We’re not perfect, but we do have a desire to serve a perfect Savior in a genuine way and want to reflect Him as best we can. We want to show you Him, not us, and hope that you would come experience the Delray Difference with us.
